Modern Backyard Retreat
A flat, tired lawn rebuilt around a limestone terrace, a fire lounge and layered planting.
Project overview
A cracked concrete pad and a patchy lawn replaced with a raised limestone terrace, a lounge around a linear fire table, and deep planted beds that frame a healthy new lawn.
Design concept
Keep the palette to stone, cedar and green, and let the planting do the softening. The terrace sits one wide step above the lawn, so the edge works as extra seating.
